To transmute is to transform—to refine what is into what is essential. It is both a shedding and an unveiling, a process of clarity and alignment.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Metal Element, tied to autumn, governs this cycle. It sharpens, clarifies, and teaches discernment—what to hold onto and what to release. Like the lungs inhaling life and exhaling the unnecessary, Metal reminds us that letting go is renewal, not loss.

Transmute Retreat is a space to pause, reflect, and reset. Through movement, breath, and stillness, we quiet the noise, create clarity, and soften into what is true—emerging with a deeper sense of grounding and resilience.

“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” — Lao Tzu

Bowen Island,
British Columbia, Canada

Bowen Island is a tranquil oasis just a short ferry ride from Vancouver, yet it feels worlds away. Surrounded by lush forests and the serene waters of Howe Sound, this small island is a sanctuary for those seeking rest, reflection, and renewal. The island’s network of scenic trails, including the peaceful path around Killarney Lake and the panoramic views from Mount Gardner, offers the perfect backdrop for deepening your practice and finding stillness.

Nestled within this landscape, Nectar Yoga provides a peaceful haven designed for introspection, movement, and rest. Set amidst 20 acres of forested tranquility, Nectar Yoga offers the perfect space to slow down, reset, and reconnect. With the gentle sounds of nature as our soundtrack, we will immerse in daily yoga, breathwork, and self-inquiry, allowing the island’s energy to support our journey inward.

My Philosophy

I believe that true restoration happens when we step away from the noise of daily life to reconnect with our bodies, nature, and inner rhythms. I design retreats as immersive experiences that blend movement, breath, and somatic exploration with deep rest and intentional reflection.

With a foundation in anatomy, bodywork, and traditional healing practices, my approach is both technical and intuitive, guiding you toward a deeper understanding of your body and its rhythms. These retreats are not about escape but about recalibration—an opportunity to shift patterns, learn how to inhabit yourself more fully, and step back into your life feeling more aligned, resourced, and embodied.

For five days, we’ll gather on the magical shores of Bowen Island, British Columbia, a place where stillness meets vibrancy. Nestled within the cedar-scented forests of Nectar Yoga, you’ll find a sanctuary for your transformation.

we’ll weave practices that anchor you in your breath, connect you to your body, and align you with the wisdom of the season. This is more than a retreat; it’s a reclamation of your ability to release, refine, and rise.
