About
My work intersects somatic exploration with anatomical precision to cultivate embodied perception and kinesthetic understanding. I believe that collective liberation and inner healing are deeply connected and tied to inner fredom from the tethers of the mind and the conditioned disembodiment from our bodies. I use various tools of practice to facilitate anatomical mindfulness, somatic self-awareness, and movement fluency and effeciency.
My journey to the intersect of trauma and neuroanatomy began while studying bodywork in Costa Rica, where I became fascinated by the intrinsic connection between the mind and body. This curiosity led me to become an educator, inspired by how our lived experiences are stored within our tissues and how we can use practice to cultivate a sense of home within the body.
I’ve taught Structural Anatomy, Kinesiology, and Western Bodywork Techniques at massage therapy schools and developed anatomy programs for both 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings. I live in my longtime home of Detroit, Michigan, where I founded a bodywork studio, teach public classes locally, and host retreats around the world.
